Virginia Miller is from Columbus, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia where she received a degree in International Business. After graduating from the University of Georgia, she attended Cumberland School of Law. This will be her twenty-third year practicing law in Birmingham. During that time, she has worked at a large firm, a small firm, and been a solo practitioner. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation. She is currently a partner at Anderson Miller LLC which she founded with her partner, Michael Anderson. She practices primarily in the areas of domestic relations which encompasses every type of divorce including the most complex as well as uncontested divorces, custody matters, contempt proceedings, protections from abuse, adoption, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, collaborative law, and probate matters including but not limited to drafting wills and other probate documents, litigating will contests, guardianships, and conservatorships. She has also been a registered mediator in Alabama since 2012. She has spent a large portion of her professional career serving the Birmingham Bar Association. Her long-standing service to the Alabama State Bar and Birmingham Bar Association includes Current Secretary/Treasurer of the Birmingham Bar Executive Committee; Current member of the Birmingham Bar Executive Committee; Current Treasurer of the Birmingham Bar Foundation; Grievance Committee Birmingham Bar Association, Member (2020-2022; Member Alabama Lawyers Assistance Program Committee; Entertainment Committee Birmingham Bar Association, Member, 2022-present; Past Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Birmingham Bar Association; Birmingham Bar Foundation Life Fellow; and Prior Chair, Collaborative Law Committee Birmingham Bar Association.
