J. Cliff McKinney is a managing member of Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC in Little Rock, Arkansas, where his practice focuses on complex real estate and finance transactions, including large-scale commercial lending and development projects throughout the mid-South. He is licensed to practice in Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Cliff has been actively engaged in the practical and ethical use of artificial intelligence in transactional law. He regularly teaches and writes on AI's impact on legal practice, including prompt engineering, supervision obligations, and professional responsibility in AI-assisted drafting and due diligence. Cliff holds a B.A. from Baylor University, an M.P.A. and J.D. from the University of Arkansas, and an LL.M. from Southern Methodist University. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where he has taught real estate courses since 2007. He is a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and an active member of the Uniform Law Commission, having served on several committees, including the Legislative Council and the Joint Editorial Board for Uniform Real Property Acts.
