Ed Cotter is an Deputy General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Regions Bank. Mr. Cotter’s legal work focuses on supporting Regions’ Corporate Banking Group, including providing advice and guidance related to commercial lending, deposit and treasury management products, and regulatory compliance matters. Before joining the Regions Legal Department, Mr. Cotter managed the Regions Corporate Banking Group’s Risk and Controls team, which is responsible for overseeing multiple business units’ regulatory compliance and operational and risk management practices. Prior to Regions, Mr. Cotter worked as a litigator at Burr & Forman LLP in its Financial Services practice group, representing regional and national banks through the Southeast.  Mr. Cotter is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and the University of Alabama School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
