Nettie Cohen Blume has lived in Tuscaloosa all of her life.  She began her career in 1980 as an Assistant District Attorney in the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office where she handled not only criminal prosecutions in Circuit, District and Juvenile Courts, but also child support matters for four years.  Her prosecutorial experience has proved invaluable in defending clients charged with crimes in Circuit, District and Municipal Courts, as well as the wide variety of matters that arise in Juvenile Court.  In 1988, Nettie joined her husband in private practice, forming Blume & Blume, Attorneys at Law, P.C.  Mrs. Blume’s practice primarily focuses on trials and appeals of Divorce and Custody, Criminal Defense and Juvenile Court matters.  EDUCATION:  B.A. in Elementary Education, Goucher College (1972); J.D., University of Alabama (1980)
