Aubrie Kavanaugh is an Army veteran who recently retired from a decades-long career as a defense litigation paralegal with a focus on municipal defense (most of which was law enforcement defense). She is the founder of a national humane education platform called Paws4Change where she blogs on a variety of topics related to companion animals and political advocacy. As the founder of No Kill Huntsville, she published a 2019 book entitled, “Not Rocket Science: A Story of Animal Shelter Advocacy in Huntsville Alabama” to help fellow animal advocates, shelter employees and elected officials. Aubrie is a proponent of the programs and services of No Kill Equation which serve to reduce shelter intake, shorten length of stay for animals, help the public and focus on public safety.
