Tiara Young Hudson

Tiara Young Hudson is a Deputy Public Defender with the Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office. She is a member of the State Bars of Georgia and Alabama.  Ms. Hudson is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Prior to joining the JCPD, Ms. Hudson worked with 2 private practice firms in Birmingham.  She has practiced criminal defense for 13 years.  Ms. Hudson earned her J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law.  While at Alabama, she served as a Junior Editor of the Alabama Law and Psychology Review, was a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and a Recipient of the Nina Miglionico Endowed Scholarship.  She also spent one semester as an extern for Judge Caryl P. Privett, Circuit Court Judge for the 10th Judicial Circuit in Jefferson County, Alabama.  In 2002, Ms. Hudson graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in Economics.
