Judge Lisenby received his B.A., with honors, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at The University of Alabama where he also received his J.D. He has lectured at Shelton State Community College and The University of Alabama School of Law. Prior to becoming the Circuit Court Judge for the Family Court, Judge Lisenby was in private practice in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa. He was appointed Circuit Judge in the Family Court Division for Tuscaloosa County in 1996 and began a new six-year term in January 1999. He served as Drug Court Judge from 1997 to 1999.
