Judge Patricia Stephens

10th Judicial Circuit

Patricia Stephens is a Circuit Judge in Jefferson County, Alabama.  She currently serves as the Presiding Judge in the Domestic Relations Court.  Judge Stephens worked as a prosecuting attorney and then for a general practice law firm prior to taking the Bench.  Judge Stephens received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University.  She later pursued her law degree, attending Miles Law School in the evenings while working full time and graduated cum laude.  Judge Stephens is a proud Auburn Alum, and gives freely of her time and resources to current Auburn students, and those interested in attending Auburn University.  She has served as keynote speaker at several Auburn sponsored events, both on and off campus.   She is also an active community volunteer with PAV (Parents Against Violence), Village Creek Human and Environmental Society, Pratt City Red Ribbon Committee, National Congress of Black Women (NCBW), Shores – Vance American Inn of Court, The Women’s Network and the Optimist Club of Birmingham.  Her professional affiliations include, Alabama State Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, Magic City Bar Association, The Inns of Court and the Alabama Association of Circuit Judges.
