Katie Beth McCarthy

Katie Beth McCarthy serves as the Executive Director for the Alabama Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers (ANCAC). McCarthy’s resume includes over ten years of working in the non-profit sector. She was the Director of a CAC in Tennessee for three years before moving to Montgomery. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Jones School of Law after earning Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Freed-Hardeman University. Her past work experience includes working with mentally challenged adults, college students and small claims court mediations. She has taught classes at Faulkner University and Alabama Christian Academy. She interned with One Place Family Justice Center, Tennessee’s Juvenile Court and Faulkner University’s Elder Law Clinic. She received her certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution; she facilitated and coordinated the Multi-Disciplinary Team in Chester County, Tennessee; and she received certification for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She has also served on multiple non-profit, community boards such as Foster Care Review Board, Truancy Board, Pre-K Advisory Board and the Family Resource Board, to name a few. McCarthy is also experienced in non-profit fundraising and community development.
