Judge James H. Roberts

6th Judicial Circuit

Judge Roberts received his B.A. from the University of South Florida and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. As an Assistant Public Defender, Mr. Roberts represented indigent persons accused of crimes ranging from drug offenses to Capital Murder. He served as Executive Vice President of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cumberland School of Law where he coaches Cumberland’s award winning National Trial teams. Judge Roberts has conducted CLE lectures across the state for both ABICLE and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and is a frequent guest lecturer at The University of Alabama School of Law.
