As founder and managing member, Herbert has practiced in Tuscaloosa since 1981 with a wide range of practice experience. He has been a part of different firms and practice groups in the city. Herbert is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. He also handles creditor’s rights in all types of bankruptcy cases, both secured and unsecured. Herbert has served as creditors committee counsel in several cases. He focuses his practice in Business Bankruptcy, Consumer Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation, , Real Estate matters, Commercial Law, Collection, drafting and dealing with Contracts, Civil Litigation of different types, and Civil and Appellate Mediation. Herbert is listed on the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster, that lists Mediators who have met the Mediation Registration Standards and Procedures adopted September 18, 1998, and is registered with the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution, Inc. Herbert received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Samford University in 1978, and went on to receive his juris doctor degree from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1981. He was admitted to practice law in Alabama in 1981, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, as well as all of the federal district courts in Alabama. He has also practiced in the bankruptcy court for the Northern District of Mississippi. Herbert is a member of the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
