Christy joined the firm in 1997 after graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law with honors.  She attended undergraduate school at Auburn University and received a B.S. in accounting in 1994.  She is admitted to practice in Alabama and Georgia, along with the Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  Christy practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, including mobile home breach of warranty litigation and arbitration, new home construction litigation and arbitration, insurance bad faith litigation, consumer fraud and warranty litigation.

 

Christy is active in her local community and the State Bar.  She was Vice President of the Alabama State Bar in 2012-2013 and was only the second female President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama State Bar in 2005.  She is currently serving on the Board of Bar Commissioners for the Third Judicial Circuit where she has served on a variety of committees and is also the Treasurer for the Women’s Section of the Alabama State Bar.  She is a member of the Alabama Association for Justice and has been selected as a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation.
