Howard serves as Chair of Burr & Forman's Health Care section, which contains over 25 attorneys practicing throughout five states representing clients on all matters of health care related law, including corporate, litigation and regulatory matters. His specific area of focus includes Stark, Anti-kickback and False Claims Act compliance, facility and professional licensure matters, HIPAA, physician practice formation, joint venture arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, certificate of need issues, Medicare and third-party audits and investigations, contract negotiations and other corporate and regulatory matters. Howard is a frequent speaker on various health care topics both locally and nationally. Howard has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America (Health Law) since 2005, and was chosen as the "Birmingham Alabama Best Lawyers Health Care Lawyer of the Year" for 2011. Howard has been named "Who's Who in Health Care" by the Birmingham Business Journal since 2009 and listed as an Alabama "Super Lawyer" (Health Law) since 2010.


Michael White Related Seminars and Products


Michael White, Managing Director of Founders Advisors’ Healthcare practice, brings over 20 years of experience in M&A and capital raising across all healthcare sectors, as well as operational expertise.  Michael began his career and spent 7 years at Bear Stearns, serving in a series of positions of increasing responsibility in their Healthcare group. He then joined Barclays’ West Coast Healthcare team as a vice president and director for 6 years.  Most recently Michael has acted as a consultant, advising clients on a variety of strategic alternatives across multiple healthcare subsectors as well as serving as Chief Financial Officer of Carbylan Therapeutics, a specialty pharmaceutical company.  Michael received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama and his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
