Marcel Black is a practicing attorney with the firm of Black & Hughston, P.C. with offices in Tuscumbia and Muscle Shoals.  He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1972 and from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1975. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1975.

He is married to Martha Tubb Black with whom he has two children, Edgar Black, a lawyer and partner with Black & Hughston, P.C., and Virginia Tate, an educator employed by Florence City Schools. He is the proud grandfather of Grissom Tate, 12; Evelyn Tate, 9; Rainey Black, 8 and Ensley Black, 6.

Mr. Shumaker is a graduate of Howard College (Samford University) and Cumberland School of Law.  He has practiced law in Centre since 1965.  He is licensed to practice before U.S. Supreme Court, Supreme Court of Alabama, U.S. District Court; Alabama Bar Association, Cheroke􀂾1 County Bar Association.  He has served as an attorney for City of Centre; Town of Gaylesville; First Southern State Bank; Northeast Alabama Water, Sewer & Fire Protection District; Cherokee County Democratic Executive Committee.

William J. Gamble was born in Selma, Alabama and attended the Selma Public Schools. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1964 and obtained a Law Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1967. He began practicing law in Selma, Alabama in 1967 with the law firm of Gamble & Gamble, which is now the firm of Gamble, Gamble, Calame & Jones, LLC. 

Mr. Gamble has served on several Alabama State Bar Committees including the Alabama Law Institute. He is a fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation and a former hearing officer for the State Bar Disciplinary Board. He is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and served as its president from 2005-2006.

Mr. Irby received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University in 1966, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama in 1970.  He has been a practicing attorney in Baldwin County since 1971. Irby & Heard, P.C. has its office in Fairhope, Alabama.

 

Sam Irby was admitted to the Alabama Bar Association and the United States District Court in 1971 and was admitted to the United States Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court in 1978.  He is a member of the Baldwin County Bar Association, and serves as a member of the Executive Committee; member of the Alabama Bar Association; member of the American Bar Association; and member of the Estate Planning Council of Mobile, Inc.

 

Sam Irby currently serves as a member of the Board of Bar Commissioners for the Alabama 28th Judicial Circuit; Trustee of the Alabama State Bar Foundation; Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation; 2015 recipient of the Alabama Bar Association President's Award; Secretary-Treasurer of the Real Property, Property & Trust Law Section of the Alabama Bar Association; member of the Alabama State Bar Association Digital Communications Committee; past Chairman of the Alabama Bar Association Solo and Small Practice Task Force; and Chairman of the Alabama Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Section.
