Melanie Bradford Holliman is with Holliman & Holliman, PLLC, with offices in Birmingham, Alabama; Scottsboro, Alabama; and Chattanooga, Tennessee. For the last 18 years, Mrs. Holliman has focused her law practice exclusively on Estate Planning, Asset Protection and Elder Law, with a special emphasis on asset protection planning, special needs trusts, and settlement trusts.
In addition to running a strong estate planning practice, Melanie also served as the Executive Director for Alabama Family Trust, a non-profit, pooled special needs trust company in Alabama for over 8 years and has a wealth of knowledge regarding trust administration, working with grantors and beneficiaries and navigating the complex world of government benefits for beneficiaries.
She is admitted to practice before all Alabama courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, U.S. Tax Court, and all Tennessee courts. Melanie is also an accredited attorney by the Veterans Administration. Melanie has consistently been named as a Top Elder Law Attorney, Top Trust Attorney, Top Female Attorney, and Top Probate Attorney by Birmingham Magazine and B Metro Magazine. Mrs. Holliman earned her J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, cum laude, where she was also a member of the Cumberland Law Review and was inducted into Cumberland’s national alumni honor society, Curia Honoris.
