Mr. McIntire is currently employed with the Office of General Counsel at the Alabama State Bar. Prior to attending law school, he was a police officer with the City of Tuscaloosa. He graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2002. After law school, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Capital Litigation Division from 2002-2006, where he primarily handled Rule 32 appeals and federal habeas appeals.
Mr. Potts practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and general business planning. He earned his B.A. and M.S. from the University of South Alabama, his J.D. from The University of Alabama and his LL.M. in taxation from New York University. He served as law clerk to the Honorable G. B. Kahn, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Alabama. He is past chair of the Tax and the Elder Law Sections of the Alabama State Bar and is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
Mr. Bostick is a member of the Trusts and Estates Practice Group in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. Mr. Bostick received his B.S. from Auburn University, his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law and his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Bostick is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham. His practice primarily involves estate and trust planning and administration, business succession planning and taxation.
DAVID B. WELBORN is a partner with Browder & Welborn, LLC, who practices in the areas of estate and asset protection planning, business planning, elder law, probate, and tax law. His knowledge and experience in finance, real estate, and business is a great asset in assisting clients across his areas of practice. David was admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia in 2009, the State of Alabama in 2010, and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. He earned his B.S. degree in Finance (Real Estate) from the University of Alabama, his M.B.A. degree from the University of Alabama Graduate School of Business, and his J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. In law school, David drafted the “best paper” for the Business Planning final exam, was selected to the Trial Advocacy Team competition class, was a winner of the Dean’s Community Service Award, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. David practiced with a large law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, before he and his wife returned to Alabama. David is a Lead Counsel Rated Attorney in Estate Planning Law. He has appeared on the television show, “Law Call,” and is a frequent seminar speaker on matters in the areas of estate, asset protection, business and tax planning. In 2017 and 2018, David was selected as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Estate Planning & Probate.
Lindsey Eastwood is an estate and probate lawyer focused on estate and trust planning, estate administration, and estate litigation. Her clients include individuals, families, and owners of closely-held businesses. She develops estate plans with her clients by listening to their planning goals. She counsels clients on tax issues, beneficiary designations and retitling assets, wealth preservation, charitable giving, and risk management and asset protection. She also assists clients with business formation including entity choice, amendments to business formation documents, and buy-sell agreements.
In addition to her estate planning practice, Lindsey’s practice also includes serving as counsel for the personal representatives, heirs, or trustees of approximately eighty-five (85) active estates and trusts, and she serves as personal representative and administrator of several multimillion dollar estates and conservatorships. Lindsey regularly litigates will contests, beneficiary change civil actions, adversarial conservatorships, and cases involving issues of testamentary capacity and breach of fiduciary duty. Lindsey has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars for her clients. She currently serves as Education Chair of Probate Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Birmingham. She is also a member of the Women’s Section of the Birmingham Bar and a member of Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section and Elder Law Sections of the Alabama Bar.
Mr. Pulliam received his B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College and his J.D. and L.L.M. from the University of Alabama. Prior to beginning his law practice, he worked four years in the tax department with the then "Big Eight" accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche. He practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, domestic relations and criminal defense, concentrating on white collar and tax crimes. Mr. Pulliam is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Alabama State Bar, White Collar Crime Committee, and the Birmingham Bar Association.
Sarah S. Johnston is Shareholder in Dentons Sirote’s Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation section in Birmingham, Alabama. Since 2004, she has represented clients in estate and tax planning, trust and estate administration, trust and estate litigation, wealth preservation, and business succession planning. Sarah also regularly advises clients with estate planning for retirement.
Designated as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, Sarah drafts wills, trusts, prenuptial agreements, and a wide array of documents to assist with planning for estate taxes, wealth transfer, blended families, special needs, and incapacity. Additionally, she assists with pro ami settlements for individuals with special needs.
After the death of a loved one, Sarah advises and represents fiduciaries, individual and corporate, and beneficiaries in estate and trust administrations. When disputes arise, she represents clients in probate court and provides litigation support for estate and trust matters in circuit court. As part of her probate practice, Sarah assists with establishing guardianships and conservatorships.
Ms. Griffin is an Accredited Estate Planner (“AEP®”) accredited by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. In 2014, she was appointed by the Governor of Alabama to serve on the Board of the Alabama Family Trust. In 2015, she became a member of The National Advocates: Top 100 Lawyers, an invitation-only professional organization. Her practice is focused in the areas of Medicaid for long-term care, estate planning, trust administration, probate and Veterans Aid and Attendance. Ms. Griffin earned a B.S. degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from Alabama State University. She obtained a J.D. degree from The University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, she published an article, served as Student Articles Editor of the Law & Psychology Review and was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society. Ms. Griffin is a former Chairperson and current member of the Alabama State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section; Treasurer of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Probate Section; member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham and an associate member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.
