The Law Firm of Kesa M. Johnston, LLC

Kesa M. Johnston moved to Randolph County Alabama April 1, 2004 where she was the first female attorney in private practice and one of only 8 lawyers in in the county. In 2009 she started her own firm specializing in what she refers to as Small Town Street Law which includes domestic relations, small business representation, real estate closings, and criminal defense.  After starting her striking out solo, Johnston committed to being a “paperless” law office and has tried to build a firm that uses relevant technology and maintains systems that help clients with efficient communication while making it easier for staff to manage cases. Kesa has passion for paying it forward and continuing to mentor new lawyers in particular those in rural areas where local Bar membership and activities may not be as vibrant or supportive.

When she is not in the office, Kesa’s extracurriculars include a first term (and last) on her local City Council, remodeling rental houses and commercial buildings, collecting vinyl and listening to untold hours of bluegrass music that she considers a price she must pay for some past wrong and for loving a West Virginia man.
