Allen attended Vanderbilt University and went on to obtain his law degree from Cumberland School of Law in 1984.  He is a member of both the Alabama and Virginia State Bars and is also a member of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, and is currently serving as a Commissioner for the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution.  He is co-founder of Schreiber Dispute Resolution which is the largest alternative dispute resolution group in the state.  As a full time mediator/arbitrator, Allen is dedicated to assisting parties in potential resolution of all types of conflicts.

David Martin regularly lectures on topics pertaining to ERISA and employee benefit litigation and has written extensively on ERISA. David’s practice focuses on employee benefit claims, disability, and life insurance policy claims, most of which fall under ERISA. He has litigated these claims since 1992, and he has focused his practice on these claims since 1999.

He attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in the class of 1992 as a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, he was named a Hugo Black Scholar and served on the Board of Editors, Journal of Legal Profession. He is admitted in all federal courts in the state of Alabama, as well as the 11th Circuit, 5th Circuit and 2d Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is consistently rated as a Best Lawyer and Super Lawyer in the area of ERISA – litigation and maintains an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell. In 2022, he was named lawyer of the year by Best Lawyers in the area of ERISA – litigation.

After growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Erik attended Birmingham-Southern College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English. Shortly thereafter, his path into law became evident as he graduated from Cumberland School of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree in 2001. Erik is a member of the State Bars of Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi and maintains a consistent presence in each state. The majority of his practice is devoted to representing individuals and businesses in civil litigation. While civil litigation is the vehicle through which he works, Erik’s passion is helping people who suffer from catastrophic injuries such as severe brain and spine damage.  Erik contributes a great deal of his time to local and state bar associations. He is finishing his 9th year as a member of the Board of Bar Commissioners representing the 10th Circuit and is the Immediate Past President of the Alabama Association of Justice (fka Alabama Trials Lawyers).

Mr. R. Matthew Glover, originally from Charleston, West Virginia, earned his B.S. in
accounting in 1998 from Marshall University and his J.D. in 2002 from The University of Alabama School of Law. His primary practice is in bad faith litigation. Mr. Glover currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama School of Law. He mentors and coaches future trial lawyers in courtroom procedure and the many elements 
of trial litigation.

Bob Vance earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University, then his law degree at the University of Virginia. After completing a clerkship for Judge Thomas Gee at the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Bob joined the Birmingham law firm of Johnston, Barton, Proctor and Powell in Birmingham, practicing there for 16 years. Bob was then appointed as a Circuit Judge in Jefferson County to fill a vacant position. He thereafter stood for election in 2004, and was re-elected in 2010 and 2016. As a circuit judge, Bob presided over numerous civil actions, including medical malpractice cases, automobile accident disputes, and worker’s compensation cases. Bob retired from the bench in January 2023. Since then, he has served as a mediator at Schreiber ADR, LLC.
