Dalton Counts is originally from Buford, Georgia, graduating from Buford High School in 2018. His family is from Hatton, Alabama, a small community in Lawrence County. Dalton graduated from The University of Alabama in December of 2021 with his Bachelor of Arts in Communication. He then graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law in May 2025 with his JD and LLM (Tax). During his time at UA Law, Dalton was elected to the School Honor Council, served as an ambassador for the law school, competed in the National Tax Moot Court Competition in St. Petersburg, Florida, and worked as a student intern in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic. In December of 2024, Dalton presented Oral Argument in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Dalton passed the Alabama Bar Exam in July of 2025 and was admitted to the practice of law on September 26, 2025. He is currently an Associate Attorney at Browder & Welborn, LLC where he primarily practices estate, tax, and business planning, as well as probate and trust litigation. Dalton recently married Anna Grace Lindsey Counts of Kennedy, Alabama.
