Chris Christie represents plans, fiduciaries, and insurers in employee benefits litigation, including several ERISA fiduciary breach trials. He has handled many lawsuits involving stock valuations and financial and statistical expert witnesses. Since 2012, he has been a Fellow with the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel. Mr. Christie represents providers in healthcare litigation. He has handled numerous False Claims Act cases, class actions, and bet-the-company cases. He has tried and won at trial against the Department of Justice in two healthcare False Claims Act cases. Mr. Christie has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© since 2005 and was named by Super Lawyers as a “Top 50 Attorney in Alabama.” He frequently speaks and publishes on employee benefits, legal ethics, and how to prepare for and try lawsuits.  Mr. Christie received his BA from Rhodes College, his MA from Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy, and his JD from Duke University School of Law.
