Speaker from the State Bar will discuss the Alabama Lawyers Assistance Program (ALAP) and how family law practitioners deal with more stress, addiction and health issues than the average attorney and some ways to help with those issues.

Jeremy Rakes, Alabama State Bar

Jeremy is Director of the Alabama Lawyer Assistance Program through the State Bar. He has been in the field of mental health for over 20 years. He has a passion is working with individuals and families that have been affected by addiction and mental health problems. He has Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from UAB and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama. He currently lives in Hoover, AL with his wife and their 4 children.
